Soft Hearts was an opportunity to try something a bit different for me, after a character workshop afternoon I gave these two characters a go. Created from cotton fabrics, buttons and hand stitch work, I created a man and woman heart to develop into a range for valentines. This was a development project which wasn't a live brief, however after a discussion with management and sitting against the 'you & me' trend for 2014 they gave me the opportunity to develop this further. I photographed the characters in a studio, created some quirky, light hearted editorial to complement the look, and formatted them up to finished designs. One of the final designs comes with a sticker sheet to add appropriate words and icons to the card. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all projects were like this! © Hallmark Cards
